Our Story

Built by Foreign Investors, for Foreign Investors

Cashflow Rentals was founded by David and Jo, a husband-and-wife team who have spent more than a decade investing in U.S. real estate as overseas investors themselves.

Like many of our clients, we started our journey looking for a way to build long-term wealth through U.S. rental property. Along the way, we experienced both the successes and the challenges that come with investing in real estate from another country.

Since 2016, David has personally purchased 120+ rental properties across multiple U.S. markets. During that time we have lived in, and managed, our portfolio from Australia, Europe, and Latin America.

We have navigated multiple U.S. housing markets, financing challenges, renovations, difficult tenants, market cycles, and the countless decisions that come with building a real estate portfolio and managing it remotely.

Those experiences shaped the investment philosophy we follow today, and which we encourage our clients to replicate. Rather than chasing unrealistic returns or speculative high-risk projects, we focus on high-quality properties, conservative deal underwriting, and thorough due diligence, with long-term ownership and wealth creation in mind from day one.

We created Cashflow Rentals because we saw a need for a different approach. One that combines real-world investing experience with honest guidance, transparency, and ongoing support.

Our Investment Philosophy

Our Mission

"To help foreign investors build wealth safely and remotely through U.S. real estate."
Our Philosophy

Why We Invest Differently

If you've spent any time researching U.S. real estate investing, you've probably seen plenty of sellers promising exceptionally high returns. In most cases, these opportunities are based on buying the cheapest properties possible, often in very challenging neighborhoods.

We learned this lesson the hard way. By 2022, we had scaled to over 120 rental properties. On paper, it looked like a huge success. In reality, a large part of that portfolio eventually turned cash flow negative. Tenant turnover, constant repairs, and properties we could never quite get ahead of pushed us to the point of nearly losing everything we'd built.

We made the decision to sell. Across the portfolio as a whole, we lost money. We're not going to pretend otherwise.

What we kept, and rebuilt around, was a small number of properties that had quietly been performing well the entire time, with better neighborhoods, better renovations, and better tenants. That became the foundation of our strategy today.

Successful long-term investing isn't about chasing the highest projected return. It's about owning quality assets that produce reliable results in the real world.
